#SabaTen Festival Summary!
Saba’s 10 Day Birthday Festival
We wanted to mark the occasion in style, so we had a ten day birthday festival.
Anyone who dined with us during the festival could choose from our €10 lunch menu. Tao and the team pick the most popular dishes from the last ten years and some of their own family favourites from Thailand to showcase. Some of the dishes included were Phad Prik Khing Moo ** [GF], Panang Gai * [GF], Lamb Massaman* [GF], Pan-fried Lemon sole [GF], Gai Thod Makham ** and proved to be quite popular with the customers you might even see the dishes make an appearance again in the near future!
We also had a wine tasting evening with Philip Sweeney from Glug Wines, a Thai Cookery Masterclass with Tao and a Cocktail Masterclass with Victor our mixologist. They all went down a treat.
On the 10th September we hosted our #SabaTen Birthday Banquet, which was an amazing night! More about the night on our blog soon.
One of the most memorable moments of the festival, happened on the 12th September which was our tenth birthday to the day. We invited five Thai Buddhist Monks to join us and celebrate our birthday with a ceremony and blessing. They are very special people and we always feel honoured and privileged to be in their company.
It is a very rare and auspicious occasion to have five monks at one time in the same place and our team are really appreciative of the effort they made to travel to Dublin for us.
We would like to thank the Thai community and our head chef Tao for arranging this day and to everyone who attended.
Thanks from the Saba Team!
