Saba Restaurant Brings 45 Jobs To Kildare Village

Saba is thrilled to announce the opening of a brand new Saba Restaurant in Kildare Village. This exciting new restaurant will create opportunities for approximately 45 new jobs. We will be recruiting for a General Manager, Assistant Manager, Supervisor, Receptionist, Chefs, Kitchen Management, Front of House, Bartenders, and Kitchen Porters. Full-time and part-time positions will be required.

General Manager

Duties and Responsibilities  include:

  • Sales:  Achieve agreed-on targets on the number of covers and average spend.
  • Staff: Keep wage cost as per agreed budget. Managing and coaching the team per the SABA WAY standards. Understanding and following through any relevant personnel issues / Delegating appropriately to the management team. Appraisals with the management team and job chats with all other employees done annually
  • Customer Experience: Ensure consistent delivery of the SABA WAY
  • Financials: Reporting, Cash, Stock,  Margins
  • Use of systems: Ensure optimal use of all key systems including kitchen tech, pixel point, and Resdiary front house and back of house         
  • Haccp / Health & Safety                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              
Assistant Managers

Duties and Responsibilities  include:

  • Ensure all credit and financial transactions are handled in a secure manner.
  • Dealing with the end of night cash up procedure
  • Manage day-to-day staffing requirements, establish performance and develop goals for team members. Provide mentoring, coaching, and regular feedback to help to manage and improve team member performance
  • Conduct proper food and beverage inventory procedures. Determine minimum and maximum stocks for all food, beverage, material, and equipment. 
  • Keeping on top of HACCP procedures, Working with Environmental Health Officer on visits
Chefs

Duties and Responsibilities  include:

  • Cooking dishes according to set recipes
  • Prepare ingredients by chopping vegetables and meat
  • Storage and rotation according to HACCP on a daily basis
  • Understanding and delivering the correct measurements of food to our customers
  • Adhering that the correct standard of food is being sent out to customers
  • Maintain knowledge of all recipes
Kitchen Porters

Duties and Responsibilities  include:

  • To clean the Restaurant every morning including the toilets.
  • To clean pots and pans, cutlery, and crockery and ensuring food preparation sites are clean and ready.
  • To ensure that storerooms and cleaning cupboards are kept clean and organized.
  • To maintain the highest level of cleanliness, including the safety of furniture, fixtures, and fittings.  To ‘clean as you go’ to ensure a clean and tidy work area.
Waiting Staff

Duties and Responsibilities  include:

  • To ensure that service stations are prepared stocked and ready for service.
  • To greet all guests, in a polite and welcoming manner.
  • To take orders, serve food and drinks and to ensure that guests have a great experience within the Restaurant.
  • To maintain the highest level of cleanliness, including safety of furniture, fixtures and fittings.  To ‘clean as you go’ to ensure a clean and tidy work area
Bartender

Duties and Responsibilities  include:

  • Meeting and greeting customers
  • Ensure a good working knowledge of food, all beverages and wine. Be able to make recommendations.
  • Must have proven experience in a similar or busy setting – all eligibility documents must be provided to secure employment
  • Bar dispense, bar service and table service in line with all COVID-19 restriction
  • Preparing alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant guests
  • Assisting in Food and Beverage service as required
  • Ensuring all charging and billing procedures are followed through on
  • Ensuring that the bar areas are kept clean and tidy at all times
