Saba Employee Spotlight With Josian

Saba Employee Spotlight With Josian

Welcome to our Saba Employee Spotlight with Joisan.

Where did you grow up?

I grew up in Mauritius. I moved to Ireland 12 years ago. The experience was wonderful and exciting but also scary as I moved by myself while my family and friends stayed in Mauritius.

How long have you been working with SABA?

I began working in Saba a year after I moved to Ireland. 11 years already!! It didn’t take me long to feel at home with the Saba and Saba To Go teams.

What are your favourite starters and main dishes to get from SABA?

In all my years in Saba, I’ve had many different favourite dishes.
Right now, my favourite starter is the Hoisin Duck Rolls.

For the main course, my favourite has to be Pho Bo. It is my go-to dish on cold days.

What is the most popular dish ordered in SABA?

I would imagine it’s the Massaman curry. I work at festivals with Saba every year and everybody loves it!

What is your favourite aspect of working in SABA?

I’ve made many friends in Saba over the past 11 years. I love working at festivals such as Taste of Dublin and Electric Picnic. It is a great time to become friends with new staff members and have fun at these events.

What is your favourite restaurant in Dublin City?

My answer might be biased but I love Saba! There are always daily specials, new additions to the menus and special events such as Thai New Year so there is always something new for me to try.

Describe your SABA experience in three words!

The three words I would use to describe my Saba experience would be happiness, crazy and fun.
