Happy Little Christmas
Tomorrow, the 6th January is ‘Little Christmas’ (Nollaig Beag) or as it is more commonly known in the rest of the world as the Feast of the Epiphany. In Ireland, it is also called ‘Womens Christmas’(Nollaig na mBan). This tradition, still very strong in Cork and Kerry, is so called because of the Irish men taking on all the household duties for the day. Most women hold parties or go out to celebrate the day with their friends, sisters, mothers, and aunts. We know a lot of you worked over the Christmas and probably didn’t have a chance to party, so Saba is leaving the Christmas decorations up this weekend and has devised a delicious cocktail to get you in the mood.
We call it the ‘Little Christmas Royale’ and it is a festive glass of fizz to kick start your night. It will be served from tonight until Sunday at a special price of €6.50.
Happy Little Christmas.
