In Saba we work as a team, in fact once you join Saba you are considered a part of the Saba Family. Saba is a growing company with plenty of opportunities to learn and develop. Saba is a rewarding, fun and happy place to work.
The words ‘Sa’ and ‘Ba’ mean ‘happy meeting place’ in Thai and this summed up exactly the type of restaurant we wanted to create – a place where people would meet friends to enjoy reasonably priced, delicious fresh food and amazing cocktails with a professional and friendly service.
We opened Saba on Thursday, 12 September 2006 and since then we as a team have shared so many wonderful experiences. The Saba family has grown; Saba To Go was born on 7 March 2008 and is serving restaurant quality cuisine and fantastic wines for take-out and delivery. In Summer 2011 ‘The Saba-Dilla’ – Saba’s street kitchen – arrived and has been popping up at festivals around the country. Saba To Go (Dundrum) that opened the 23rd of October 2015 and Saba To Go (Deansgrange) that opened 1st of February 2017. And Saba on Baggot Street that opened in March 2016. Also maybe add in that we are opening the street kitchen in Kildare in September 2018.
The majority of the faces you see in Saba today have been with us since we opened, unusual in such a transient industry. Saba could not do what it does. We are very proud of the people who work with us. The “Customer is King” at Saba and everything we do comes from that. But, to do that you need happy people in front of house and in the kitchen.
